Ingredients:
2 tsp garlic infused coconut oil
1lb yellow onions, diced
1/2 tsp salt, to taste
1.5 tsp ground black pepper
2 tbsp fresh fine thyme
1/3 cup white cooking wine
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground clove
Pinch of ground chilli powder, to taste, optional
Method:
1. Heat ICO in a skillet over medium high heat. Add onions and
cook until golden, stirring occasionally. About 10-15 minutes.
2. Add sugar, balsamic vinegar, cooking wine and cook until
mixture has thickened. Stir in salt, black pepper, ground spices
and herbs.
3. Remove from heat, allow to cool.
4. Enjoy atop grilled meats, as a condiment in burgers or even
grilled cheese!
