Garlic Shrimp Alfredo
1 package of fettuccine
1 lb peeled and seasoned shrimp
1.5 cup whole milk
1/4 cup cream cheese (optional)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp Constance estate garlic infused coconut oil
2 tbsp flour
1/4 grated Parmesan
6 garlic cloves, finely minced
1/4 a small onion, finely minced
2 pimento peppers, finely minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
2 tbsp green seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp lemon juice
1.5 tsp red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
– Prepare pasta according to package. Then season shrimp with green seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
– In a frying pan add 1 tsp of garlic oil and cook shrimp on each side for 2 mins. Remove shrimp from pan and set aside.
– In another pan heat butter and oil. Sauté onion, garlic, red pepper flakes and pimento. Then add flour and cook for 2 mins. Gradually add warmed milk, whisking constantly until a smooth sauce is formed.
– To the sauce add parmesan and cream cheese and adjust salt and pepper. – Add cooked pasta and shrimp to sauce and toss to coat. Finish it off with fresh parsley.
